Placenta encapsulation services

You will be provided with an 8oz cobalt blue jar filled with capsules. Amounts vary depending on the size of your placenta (typically 100-200 pills). We offer 2 preparation techniques "Raw" or "TCM". Raw dried without heating first. This method is more potent, and often preferred for increased energy and milk production. TCM is steamed prior to drying. This method is gentler and typically preferred for hormone balancing, or of you are easily over stimulated. You can also choose a combination of both methods.
There is no wrong choice, it is entirely up to your preferences. However, if you are GBS positive the TCM prep is recommended.

Placenta powder can be prepared and provided in a small tin instead of capsules, if you prefer. This is a great versatile option if you have difficulty with swallowing pills, or if you would like to use your powder in smoothies, truffles, etc. The powder can also be stored to make additional tincture or salve at a later date!

Placenta tincture is a liquid extract made with a small amount of your placenta, soaked in alcohol for several weeks. It is most commonly used for long term hormone balancing and is especially useful for taking when your menstrual cycle returns, or even menopause!

Many women opt for both the capsules and tincture, since only a small portion of the placenta is needed for tincture. They plan to use the capsules immediately, and save the tincture for longer term use.

We offer 2 options for adding herbs to your encapsulated placenta~

1) A proprietary blend of 8 herbs, created by Jessica, which helps to address the most common postpartum concerns.

2) A custom blend, where you can select your own combination of 8 herbs listed.

A placenta print is a keepsake of your baby's placenta, which can be framed and displayed, or added to a baby book. It is made by arranging the placenta on a waterproof disposable pad, and an 11x14in piece of watercolor paper will be stamped on top. The resulting image will capture the placenta as it appeared, complete with blood vessels, and umbilical cord. Then it is sprayed witha fixative to prevent damage/fading. you can also request a digital image/photo, if you prefer.

Placenta salve can be prepared using a small portion of your placenta. This is be used to soothe skin, reduce inflammation, promote healing or relieve pain for you or your baby!

The healing salve is made with our proprietary blend of olive oil, coconut oil, vitamin E, lemon and lavender essential oils and beeswax, and infused with your placeta. 2oz or 4oz options available. !

Just like it sounds, a portion of your baby's umbilical cord is trimmed, cleaned and dried in the shape of a heart. Once finished, it is placed in a small gauze keepsake bag. Blue, pink and white bags are available.

This is a free service, along with any encapsulation, but will NOT automatically be provided. Please select the option for cord keepsake and bag color preference.

We are happy to offer IN HOME pick-up and delivery services within Colorado Springs city limits, and we recently added the option of pick-up and delivery services for Monument, Palmer Lake, Fountain (including the 80925 & 80929 zip codes), Manitou and Falcon for a small additional charge! If you would like this service, please be sure to choose the most accurate option on the scroll down menu. You will be provided with instructions for how to safely transport or store your placenta prior to pick up!

You are also welcome to make your own drop off arrangements for no charge!

Hospital pick up is available at all three main hospitals in Colorado Springs (UCH Memorial Central, UCH Memorial North, and St Francis). We ask that you bring a cooler to the hospital to store your placenta on ice immediately after delivery. Pick-up will need to be arranged within 24 hours of birth.You will be provided with instructions for how to request the release of your placenta and safely store it prior to pick-up.
