I received a graduate degree in Naturopathy from Trinity College in 2005, which I have integrated into my homebirth practice to encourage healthy mothers and babies! Many common pregnancy conditions can be prevented naturally.
We offer access to a full service laboratory, and can collect your bloodwork, cultures, and pap smear samples in our office. No need to run to the lab for a blood draw! The cost of this labwork is not included in your midwifery fee. However, our lab is contracted with most major insurance companies (including Medicaid, Tricare Prime/Standard, Kaiser, and most HMO, EPO, & PPO plans), so it should be covered by your insurance...even if your homebirth is not!
I became a licensed massage therapist in 1997, and specialized in prenatal and postpartum massage, prior to becoming a midwife. I no longer offer private sessions, but I love to utilize this experience to help my clients have a more comfortable birth!
For my clients who are interested in the benefits of placenta medicine, I offer encapsulation services for an additional fee. The price includes pick up, choice TCM or "raw" preparation, encapsulation, a custom herbal blend and delivery. Tinctures are also available for a small fee.
I am currently a Certified Encapsulation Specialist though FCEC.
Preserve a cast of your beautiful belly for all time. Created using plaster, your "casting session" will typically take 45 min. The basic cast will be plain white plaster, or you can have it finished with a glossy paper top coat for an additional $25. Tie a ribbon on & display it!
